Thank you for this coverage❣️ I was grateful to hear the back story from the artist himself❣️ I, too, was disturbed by the painting over of this significant piece of art and my ties to it and the neighborhoodI grew up in. We lived on 4th Street, right off of University. I was so proud of the location being used to speak to DSM, and in rememberance of such a great man and civil rights icon❣️ Thanks again to the artist, pre and post mural❣️ There will always be other walls to tear down and to build up❣️ Amen and aśé.

Makes me want to vomit. How is American history too DEI? And how are they gaining control over every wall, nook and cranny of our cities and towns?

Heartbreaking! I respect the efforts of the civil rights movement. But we don’t even have human rights. White supremacy has never view us as human. That’s why our ancestors were treated like cattle. We need our humanity to be acknowledged and respected! Then leave us alone!
