Following George Floyd's murder by police in Minneapolis on May 25, 2020, a wave of protests swept the nation and Des Moines. The Inside Black Iowa podcast explored why a Des Moines non-profit, Just Voices Iowa, launched an in-depth study and magazine, The People’s History, about the protests' lasting impact.
