When brutal blizzards and icy roads fail to daunt some Iowa motorists, they're not brave for ignoring winter weather warnings and pushing on with their travels.
Agree wholeheartedly! It’s worth noting that our police, snow removal professionals, and all emergency response folks need our restraint so they are not unnecessarily put in harms way.
I was so disappointed not to get to the Expo and meet the mind behind Black Iowa News last Saturday, but the weather won out. Side streets in Cedar Rapids can still be treacherous as of Tuesday afternoon. Having grown up in a snow belt I’ve seen some crazy weather. People would cross country ski to the store for provisions. It certainly wasn’t that bad!

Amen to all of this.
Thank you. I agree with every single one of your wise words about the danger of winter driving. Be smart and be safe!
Beautiful....no driving in blizzards.
